Aquaconnect is an agriculture technology (AgTech) company serving the aquaculture sector. It has developed FarmMOJO – an Artificial Intelligence powered farm advisor tool which connects shrimp farmers with up-streams (inputs and healthcare) and down-streams (processors and certifying bodies) in the shrimp supply chain as well as providing essential data to financial institutions to enable services for credit and insurance.
GIIF organized an agriculture Insuretech innovation challenge/competition as a part of an Insuretech fair, which was hosted in Mumbai, India in July 2019. Through this innovation fair, the GIIF aims at improving the understanding of Insuretech, supporting the integration of different technology solutions with agriculture insurance, and applying innovation with actual programs on the ground. Aquaconnect is the Platinum Award Recipient in Premiums & Claims Category.
